Assol
Story of Asya’s life with our family

One of the happiest events in my life happened in February, 2005. Once in the frosty evening the neighbor told to us by phone that he had found a dog and it looked like thoroughbred one.
In five minutes we were at his apartment and saw a small shaggy miracle. Its left ear was covered with “zelenka” (green color antiseptic) and hanged down. As it was found out later it happened because of a brand that, probably, had been made recently. The miracle appeared to be a very strong German shepherd puppy-girl with clever kind eyes and wagging tail. We took it to ourselves to feed, to warm and to try to find its owner.
Next day we went to veterinary clinic for the general inspection of the foundling to be sure that the puppy was healthy and no diseases would threaten to it. After survey doctors told to us that all was right and it had teeth as a puppy about three months old.

We assumed that the puppy had escaped from its owner or its owner have decided to get rid of it, turning it out. We believed that the first version is more likely than the second one. The second version seemed to us unreal because outside temperature was 20C below zero.
We searched the owner of our small fluffy friend but unfortunately without any luck. Meantime every day all of us became attached to it more and more. As search of an owner had not given any results we decided to take the baby-dog to ourselves and called her by name Assol (or shortly Asya).
Our cheerful life began full of pleasant care and love to this small, shaggy, fervent doggy. In its turn in our absence the doggy did everything to get up to every sort of stupid tricks. It stole all sweets, gnawed everything that laid badly. Our losses increased. But once again after our return the doggy turned to lovely creature with eyes of an angel and faithfully wagging tail. On its little muzzle there was written expression "it’s not my fault".

Soon the doggy grew up, "blossomed" and turned in a fine female-dog with a magnificent mane. There were a lot of “grooms” around, but our Asya was more interested in assimilation of training skills.
But, as it is known, the happiness does not happen cloudless. Once in the evening Asya felt badly. We were worried very much and in the morning brought it to the doctor. The doctor said that our doggy was sick with enteritis. We were frightened for its life , but the doctor calmed us and said that we brought Asya to his office just in time. Thanks God, all managed!
Unfortunately our happiness did not last for a long time. Soon one more trouble has happened. Asya fell ill with Russian tick-borne encephalitis. We were upset very much. During a week Asia was treated with a dropper. Once again we could rescue it! Soon Asya recovered, returned its beauty and cheerfulness. It was miracle. Probably Asya was born under a lucky star.

Short time after we brought home 1. 5 month old puppy of the Doberman. Assol, being by this time 2 years old “madam”, all the evening long went around the puppy, trying to understand who was it and what was it for.
Since then Asya always preserved and protected the new small friend from all misfortunes, especially from other dogs. It treated the puppy well, like an actual mother treated the child. But this is another story.

Now they live happily together. They have a lot of remarkable friends with whom they adore to walk.
We are so happy that we have these two remarkable and devoted friends!
